Wednesday 4th Feb The Daffodil night nurses have a very special place in my heart. When Mam was in the final days of her illness we were completely lost as a family. Just knowing that someone could be there with us to help make her comfortable and alleviate her pain was imperative to us as a family in a time when we felt so helpless. Without their help we would not have been able to give our Mam her final wish which was to pass over in her own home. For this we are forever grateful. Donations raised on Daffodil Day go towards funding the night nurses to assist families at a time they need it most. You don’t realise how important this support is until you experience it.
