The Irish Cancer Society is Ireland's cancer community working together to save lives and improve the lives of people affected by cancer in Ireland.
About us
We are a community of patients, survivors, volunteers, supporters, health and social care professionals and researchers. We are working towards a future where nobody in Ireland will die from cancer.
We won't stop until fewer people receive a cancer diagnosis, until everyone who does survives it and until everyone who needs it receives world-class care and support.

The impact of your support this Daffodil Day
By Going All In this Daffodil Day you are helping to care for people affected by cancer across Ireland. Your support helps provide expert nurses on our Support Line and in our Daffodil Centres, free counselling, lifts to treatment, ground-breaking cancer research, funding to families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis and so much more. We're all in because you are.
Will you Go All In this Daffodil Day to bring hope, provide support, drive progress and stand together against cancer?
Cancer statitstics
This year, like every year, we want to empower more people with the right information and support so that more cancers can be caught as early as possible.
- 1 in 2 of us will get cancer in our lifetimes.
- In 2026 alone, an estimated 44,000 people will receive a cancer diagnosis in Ireland.
- Cancer is the most common cause of death in Ireland. More than 9,500 people in Ireland die from cancer each year.
- However, thanks to earlier detection, improved care and targeted treatments, more people are surviving cancer than ever before. Today, there are more than 220,000 cancer survivors in Ireland.
Where do your donations go?
We typically receive only 5% of our income from the Government, so your contributions are what enable us to continue being there for every child and adult affected by cancer in Ireland.
Together we won’t stop pushing for a better, more hopeful future.
