My Story
In July 2024 I was unexpectedly diagnosed with Rectal Cancer at the age of 43 and life changed in an instant.
Having supported Daffodil Day for many years I never thought that I myself would be a cancer patient requiring The Irish Cancer Society's support and services.
On the 28th of March 2025 following radiotherapy and chemotherapy I underwent surgery to remove my cancer. Ironically it was Daffodil Day.
While my recovery is ongoing, this year I would like to show my immense gratitude by supporting The Irish Cancer Society on Daffodil Day 2026.
There are very few families who have not been affected by cancer.
