Grow Remote Balbriggan and the Balbriggan community are going all in against cancer this Daffodil Day and raising funds to support cancer patients and their families across Ireland.

You can show your support too, by making a donation to OUR page today, you will be helping us to reach our fundraising goal but more importantly, to fund the Irish Cancer Society's Support Line, free counseling, lifts to treatment, ground-breaking cancer research, funding to families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis and so much more.

Together, we can ensure that no one has to go through cancer alone. Thank you!

Hi all,

Some numbers:

19 volunteers , 7 from Grow Remote, 12 from the community
And lots of generous donors!!
Lots of people met in the community, positive energy, great spirit, friendships...

Great success on St Patrick's day

Thursday 19th Mar
St Patrick's Day fundraising was quite successful. All volunteers were in good spirit, we learned a few things for Friday and we raised €1787 ! Bring on Daffodil day!

Still looking for volunteers on 17 and 20 March

Monday 9th Mar

We are still short of  volunteers to help fundraise during the week, in Balbriggan,

  • St Patrick’s Day  (Tue 17 March): 10:00-16:00
  • Daffodil Day (Fri 20 March)8:00-18:00

We will have 2-hour shifts of 2 people. The job is to sell Daffodil Day merchandise (pins, teddy bears, bottles etc…) in Supervalu, Georges Square, Millfield…

If you wish to volunteer 2 hours of your time please - email growremotebalbriggan@gmail.com or contact  Philippe Tap on Messenger

One week to our first fundraising date in Balbriggan

Monday 9th Mar
One week to St Patrick's Day, our first fundraising date ...

We will fundraise in Supervalu between 10-4, and provided the garda permits is granted, to the streets of Balbriggan, before during and after the parade! 10 volunteers on the day so far...

Overall 17 volunteers on 2 days (17 and 20 March) and 3 locations.

The role of the Community fundraiser is not for the faint hearted, but I am learning a lot from this experience,  I am meeting a lot of very nice and helpful people along the way, in the Irish Cancer Society, in our wonderful local community, through social media.

In the fundraising training, I realised how much the Irish Cancer Society, its staff and its volunteers do to help patients and their families. It is humbling...

Anyway: one week to go, it's very exciting !!

Good luck with the fundraising in a cause which is very close to my heart....I sadly lost my sister Mary to cancer late last year at the young age of 63.
