Back to Genoa: 1990 to 2026
Saturday 20th Jun One of the most emotional milestones of the entire cruise was pulling into our very first stop in Genoa on June 14th. This city holds a legendary place in our family history. Dad brought us here all the way back in 1990 for the World Cup, creating memories that we still treasure today. Stepping back onto that same soil as a family—bringing Rhys’s grandad back into the conversation at every corner—made this day profoundly special for all of us.Lessons from Dad: Live in the Present
If this emotional journey taught us anything, it is a vital lesson about how we live our lives:
• Don't wait: Do not wait for your dreams to just come to you.
• Act now: That perfect future day you are waiting for might never happen.
• Stay present: Live deeply in the present moment.
• Work hard: If you have a dream, work tirelessly to achieve it.
This cruise finally came through for Mum, but it was a dream she and Dad built together for the days after we all grew up. Share

Remembering Dad: Laughter, Tears, and Steps in Genoa
Saturday 20th JunDad was a remarkably generous man, and his family was his entire world. Now
A Dream Fulfilled, A Piece Missing
This year, our family finally took the cruise holiday that was supposed to be Mum and Dad’s ultimate dream when all there childrenwere grown up. After all these years, we made it happen for Mum. While the trip was absolutely fantastic, a massive piece of our hearts was missing. Dad was taken from us far too young. He lived for his family, and we felt his absence every single day. Yet, amidst the tears, there was so much laughter and chats of many happy times he was part of and that memories he gave us to look back on. Share
