🎗️ Braving the Shave this Halloween for the Irish Cancer Society
Monday 25th AugThis Halloween, on 31st October 2025, I’ll be shaving my head and beard as part of the Shave or Dye campaign with the Irish Cancer Society.
Why? Because cancer has touched my life and the lives of so many people I love.
💛 Who I’m Doing This For
I’m shaving in loving memory of:
My Nanny Joyce
My Aunty Veronica
My colleague Deirdre
And in support of:
My mam Siobhan, who continues her fight with incredible strength
My Aunty Linda
My friend Roisin
Each of these amazing people reminds me why this cause is so important.
🎯 My Goal
I’ve set a fundraising goal of €500. So far, I’ve raised €73, but with your support, I know we can reach (and hopefully beat!) the target by Halloween night.
Every donation goes directly to the Irish Cancer Society, funding vital services like:
🚐 Free transport for patients travelling to treatment
🛏️ Night nursing care for those who wish to remain at home
💬 Counselling and emotional support for families
🔬 Cancer research that changes and saves lives
🎃 Why Halloween?
Halloween is all about transformation, and this year, I’m embracing that spirit in a different way—transforming my look completely! It’s my way of bringing awareness to a serious cause, while making the act visible, meaningful, and memorable.
On 31st October, I’ll go bald in honour of the people I’ve lost, the loved ones still fighting, and the countless families across Ireland who face cancer every single day.
🙏 How You Can Help
If you can, please consider supporting my fundraiser by donating here:

Even the smallest donation makes a huge impact. Together, we can bring comfort, hope, and practical support to people living with cancer.
And if you’re not able to donate, sharing my story and fundraising link with others would mean the world.
🖤 Final Thoughts
Cancer affects us all—directly or indirectly. On Halloween night, when the razor comes out, I’ll be thinking of my family, my friends, and every person who has had to fight this disease.
With your support, we can make a difference.
Thank you for standing with me,
Liam McGrath
