I’m taking on the 12,000 Steps a Day Challenge in March to go all in against cancer this Daffodil Day and raising funds to support cancer patients and their families across Ireland.

I'm taking part for my many family members and friends who've been affected by cancer. There can't be many of us who haven't been touched by this disease. By making a donation to my page today, you will be helping to fund the Irish Cancer Society's Support Line, free counselling, lifts to treatment, ground-breaking cancer research, funding to families facing a childhood cancer diagnosis and so much more.

Every donation helps. I know that money is tight for most of us now, and we are subjected to appeals from many great causes, but even the cost of a cup of coffee will help support Daffodil Day.

Many thanks if you can help at all.

Together, we can ensure that no one has to go through cancer alone. Thank you again xx

Thanks to your support, my Daffodil Day fundraising could provide:

My Updates

Day 18

Tuesday 18th Mar
Over halfway, and feeling great! Thanks to all who have donated, most recently Orla and Linda, thank you so much for your generosity xx

Still going!

Thursday 13th Mar
Day 13, I haven't uploaded this week,  but have hit the target most days.

Day 7

Friday 7th Mar
Didn't update yesterday, but a busy day and I didn't quite make the 12000. Played pickleball for the first time though.
Today was good, we took our lovely gotcha puppy Teddy to the beach for the first time, and he loved it! Such a good boy off lead. Then later in the afternoon Ollie and I did one of our usual walks, did something over 6km altogether.

Day 5

Wednesday 5th Mar
Cold wind today, I had to quash the desire to stay in the warm. Eventually got out after lunch, walked Teddy our new gotcha puppy on his short walk up to the bog road gate, then Ollie and I walked the ring. So glad we got out.

Day 4

Tuesday 4th Mar
Afternoon walk after a busy morning in town, I have to say I'm surprised I made it today

Day 3

Monday 3rd Mar
A beautiful day, over 16,000 steps today walking Ollie to Brandon Point and around the Cè

Day 2

Sunday 2nd Mar
A slightly better day weather wise, took to the beach today and walked 5k with Ollie, my friend Sue's dog.

Day 1

Saturday 1st Mar
Soft rain and a gentle breeze, delightful weather for day 1!
