Run 26.2 Miles in March

26.2 Miles for Hope: Running for the Irish Cancer Society

This March, I’m taking on big physical and mental challenge: running 26.2 miles — a full marathon — in support of the Irish Cancer Society.

Why? Because cancer affects far too many families, including people close to all of us. It brings fear, uncertainty, and enormous emotional and financial strain. The Irish Cancer Society works tirelessly to ensure that no one in Ireland faces cancer alone — providing free support services, funding life-saving research, and advocating for better care and outcomes for patients and families.

If you’re in a position to donate, no amount is too small. Truly.

Your support will:

  • Help fund essential services for patients and families

  • Support vital cancer research

  • Make a real difference in someone’s darkest moments

There will be long miles, blisters, probably a few complaints about the weather — but it will all be worth it if we can raise meaningful funds for the Irish Cancer Society.

Thank you for reading, for supporting, and for being part of this journey with me.

Let’s turn 26.2 miles into hope. 💛

My Updates

Day 5

Sunday 8th Mar
Everyday is a step closer to 5km, feeling better every time I finish up a run!

Day 4 - 10 km Milestone!

Friday 6th Mar
While reaching 10km in four days is nothing to some, for myself who hasn't run in years its an achievement in itself. I am honestly surprising myself of how well I am keeping this pace up, it may be slow but I am resilient and will keep going. 💪🏃‍♀️

Day 3!

Thursday 5th Mar
Starting to understand the joy of running now that I've gotten over the initial shock of it! Enjoying so much now that I have begun running in the rain. 😂

Day 2

Tuesday 3rd Mar
A cold start today which helped me go a little bit further, definitely warmed up for today! 😆

First Steps!

Monday 2nd Mar
Taking the first steps is the hardest! Happy I pushed myself to step out today, feeling the after effects of it but now I'm motivated to keep going. 😎
