Daffodil Day 2026 🌼

Monday 16th Feb
Hi all. Since my  diagnosis of Gleason Score 9, high grade, aggressive and inoperable prostate cancer on 5/10/2023, my eyes opened to the importance of fundraising for the ICS. Only 5% of the income of the ICS comes from Government. Shocking eh? It is the incredible generosity of our people in Ireland that helps to ensure transport is provided for cancer patients; that night nursing cancer care can be allocated for patients and families affected by this horrible disease; that equipment to help cancer patients can be bought and that essential, life-changing and lifesaving research can continue to be funded and more besides.

Cancer changed my life. Incredibly effective treatment and my own personal defiance and positivity prolonged it. I’m not grateful I got cancer, but I’m grateful for the lessons cancer has taught me.

Whatever you can spare is and will be eternally and massively appreciated.

Go raibh míle maith agaibh!

Great work phelim. One of my favorite charities. Like you a survivor from this horrible disease and losing 2 sisters and brother in law in 18 months to cancer. Know first hand the importance
