Feeling it’s a busy week ahead!

Wednesday 17th Jun
15.6.26
A busy week ahead with kids club so thought an early morning walk at 7.30am best to kick start the week…into the farm and back home again…nevertheless another mile done!

A little sunshine to walk up and down the road with my youngest child at a nice easy pace!

Lapping Lake

Tuesday 9th Jun

A few messages in town today followed by a lap (or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5) around Monaghan town lake, whilst dodging the rain…again!

Still dodging the showers!

Monday 8th Jun
8.6.26
During the ballet run and in between the showers I managed to clock up another mile today on country roads. I’m ready to ditch the raincoat any day now!

Rain rain go away…come again another ‘month’

Sunday 7th Jun
7.6.26
Lacking motivation today after a big roast beef dinner and dessert looking out into the rain (again) …nonetheless I made it outside and managed a walk around country lanes.

Here we go round and round….

Sunday 7th Jun
6.6.26
Today I had a touch of retail therapy with some added walking and talking round and round and round….and round the Mall in Armagh, didn’t see the miles being clocked up here!

Mooove out of the road

Friday 5th Jun
5.6.26
Enjoyed a country lane walk today with a  neighbour only to be slowed down by a herd of friendly cows in our road…or maybe we were in their road 🐄🐄🤔

A piece of cake!!

Thursday 4th Jun
4.6.26
Enjoyed a school walk in Rossmore forest Park this evening, followed by tea and a piece of cake, followed by a second walk with hubby and three kids.

Exam ‘runs’ started!

Thursday 4th Jun
3.6.26
After the first of many exam ‘runs’ over the next number of weeks, I walked along Monaghan Greenway with a friend, enjoyed a smoothie and walked back again, managing to avoid the rain.
Roll on exams 😬

Saving diesel!

Tuesday 2nd Jun
2.6.26
Today I walked to a friends house accompanied by one of my sons and our dog…had a cuppa tea and catch up and made my journey home again by feet with my friend and her son.
Not so bad; saving diesel with this walking!!

It’s June… lets go!

Monday 1st Jun
1.6.26
Couldn’t think of a better way to start a bank holiday Monday than with a 6.30am alarm clock and a walk to the local shop for a loaf of bread.
I’m walking every day in June aiming for a mile a day minimal…above my target already…first 2miles completed!

‘A walk in the Park’

Saturday 30th May
30.5.26
Two years ago today on 30th May 2024 Dad received a very shocking diagnosis of stage 4 aggressive bowel cancer in Craigavon area hospital.
With surgery and chemotherapy and much answered prayer he continues to battle this disease.
I am taking on this walking challenge in June to help fundraise for the Irish Cancer Society to help them continue to provide support for patients and their families.
Most likely a ‘walk in the park’ for many but for me I am hoping this walking challenge will also benefit me physically in ways that I have been limited the last few months.
All support, encouragement, donations, and prayer will be greatly appreciated. Thank you
