30 miles in June

Saturday 16th May
This June, I will be taking part in the Irish Cancer Society Walk, and it is something that means far more to me than simply putting on a pair of runners and covering the miles. I’m walking because this charity is incredibly close to my heart.
Cancer affects so many families and lives, and sometimes you don’t fully understand the impact of a charity until you or someone close to you finds themselves in that situation. It’s only when you are faced with the reality of it that you begin to see the tremendous work that happens behind the scenes every single day.The Irish Cancer Society provides so much more than people may realise. They offer support, guidance, information, care, and hope during some of the most difficult times in a person’s life. They are there not only for those diagnosed with cancer, but also for families and loved ones trying to navigate the journey alongside them.
The work they do is truly incredible, and many people rely on these services at times when they need them most. Their support can make an enormous difference in helping people feel less alone during an incredibly challenging period.I would be so grateful for any support along the way.
