I’m going all in against cancer this Daffodil Day and raising funds to support cancer patients and their families across Ireland.
In November last year I was diagnosed with essential thrombocytosis, a rare blood cancer. While it’s often something that can be managed long term, it has still been a significant thing for me to come to terms with. This experience has made me more aware of the importance of the support, research, and information provided by organisations like the Irish Cancer Society, not just for people going through treatment, but for anyone living with a cancer diagnosis.
I decided to fundraise as a way of turning this experience into something positive and to support the work the Irish Cancer Society does for people and families across Ireland.
Any donation, no matter how small, is very much appreciated.
Thanks to your support, my Daffodil Day fundraising could provide:
2 Patients
patients with transport to and from chemotherapy treatment using Irish Cancer Society's Volunteer Driver Service
1 Nurses
Irish Cancer Society Night Nurses with vital clinical equipment
1 Sessions
counselling sessions to help a person cope with a cancer diagnosis
