CHOPS & CHUNES 4 CHARITY – A 12-Hour DJ & Barber Expo Fundraiser for the Irish Cancer Society
We’re bringing music, community, and a great cause together for CHOPS & CHUNES 4 CHARITY - a 12-hour DJ & Barber Expo on Sunday 27th April from 9AM - 9PM brought to you by Warren Whealan the Barber & SMACK MADN + Friends in Chop Shop Drogheda, featuring an incredible lineup of local DJs, all in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.
This event is especially close to our hearts, as it’s dedicated to my 18 year old brother, Rowan, who was recently diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and is currently undergoing chemotherapy. Rowan is a passionate, up-and-coming DJ, studying Music Technology and DJ Techniques in college. Despite everything he’s going through, his love for music remains stronger than ever.
So, we’re doing what he loves most - bringing people together through music to raise funds for a cause that helps countless individuals and families affected by cancer.
Every donation, big or small, will go directly to the Irish Cancer Society, funding vital cancer research, patient support, and care services.

From 3K to 10K – Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️
Tuesday 1st AprWhen we first set out with a goal of €3,000, we could never have imagined the overwhelming support we would receive. Thanks to the kindness of family, friends, work colleagues, our amazing community, and especially the DJ space, we quickly hit €5,000, then €10,000 - and we are beyond grateful for every single donation.
This has given Rowan the boost he needed, and he’s feeling the love from all of you. He’s really looking forward to the fundraising event on the 27th, hoping to play alongside local DJs on the day! Through his treatment, he’s taking each day as it comes, and he continues to be a true inspiration. He is the bravest person I know, and as his sister, I am endlessly proud.
With this incredible momentum, we’ve decided to raise our target to €15,000 to support the Irish Cancer Society. This money will go towards providing vital resources for people like Rowan who rely on their support during this journey.
