Pfizer GC Move For Cancer

Pfizer - Move For Cancer Grangecastle

I'm fundraising for...

I am taking part in The Pfizer Ireland “Move for Cancer” programme by walking from Pfizer Grange Castle to Pfizer in The Watermarque Building in Ringsend, Dublin on Thursday 19Jun25 with 200 other Pfizer colleagues & friends.
There are a number of events taking place during the months of April, May and June 2025. This includes a series of activities across all our Pfizer sites in Ireland with the purpose of raising funds for the Irish Cancer Society. The myriad of events, including running, walking, music gigs, cycling, swimming, etc. will culminate with the Pfizer Ireland Cycle on the 20th and 21st June during which 250 Pfizer colleagues and friends will take on a 280+ km two-day cycle journey from Pfizer Grange Castle (Dublin), via Pfizer Newbridge (Kildare) and on to Pfizer Ringaskiddy (Cork).

The purpose of the “Move for Cancer” programme is to raise awareness of cancer and raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society. All donations will go toward funding life-changing cancer research projects and vital cancer support services and ensure that The Irish Cancer Society can continue to be there for every single person impacted by cancer when they need it most.

We all know someone who has been affected directly or indirectly by Cancer, so it is a cause close to everyone’s heart and I am proud to be part of the programme to raise awareness and provide support.

Please help me make a difference! Donate today as every contribution, no matter how small, will help cancer patients and their families.

My Updates

The main walk - successfully completed

Thursday 19th Jun
We have just completed our 15km walk from Pfizer Grange Castle to Pfizer Europe in aid of The Irish Cancer Society. Beautiful weather all day, feet are tired but so worth the effort today. Thank you everyone for your donations to this very worthy cause. Enjoying a lovely cool pint now with all colleagues celebrating our achievement.

Walk number one done & dusted

Saturday 14th Jun
So walk number one is done & dusted. A leisurely 5Km run for some walk for me & others in Corkagh Park this morning. Pity about the weather but it was good fun with good company none the less 😃 the big walk is next Thursday 19th of June. 18km ahead of us. We’ll be grand 🤗

Warm up planned for the 14th of June

Saturday 7th Jun
Thank you so much to everyone who has donated to date. Your generosity has been greatly appreciated. We’ve decided to do two events. On the 14th of June we’re going to do the 5Km park run (walk in my case) in Corcagh Park. This will get our minds focussed for the 18km walk from Grange Castle to The Watermarque building on the 19th of June. We’ll keep you updated on progress & maybe have a few photos from each event. Hopefully a little bit of sunshine for both events.
Again, thank you all for your generous donations. They are very much appreciated. They are all going to a very worthy cause & will be put to great use to support patients & their families as they embark on their respective treatment plans.
