Becoming a Daffodil Day Community Organiser

Community Organisers work directly with our fundraising team to bring the colour and excitement of Daffodil Day, our biggest fundraising event, to their local area.

About Daffodil Day Community Organisers

Daffodil Day is Ireland’s flagship fundraising event and requires the support of coordinators and volunteers to help bring it to local communities across the country.

It is estimated in excess of 10,000 people volunteer their time on Daffodil Day each year to help support street sales in their community. Coordinating and managing those volunteers and the delivery of local Daffodil Day street sales requires the support of local organisers. These local organisers work closely with the Irish Cancer Society community fundraising team to help deliver the colour and excitement of Daffodil Day and raise vital funds and awareness for cancer patients and their families.

As a Community Organiser you are the key connection between the Irish Cancer Society and your community. With a network of over 450 Community Organisers across Ireland and a dedicated member of the Irish Cancer Society team for support, you can be sure that whatever support you need is available and ready to help bring Daffodil Day to your community.

Your effort can make a big impact

A maximum of 1 or 2 hours commitment will be required most weeks but may be more the week of Daffodil Day and it is required that you are available all day on Daffodil Day itself to supervise and manage your volunteers and activities on the day.
